剧情简介
成都某制药公司经理马浪涛前往西安，以高价购买老中医陈太师的祖传药方，准备推出一款新药。然而，陕北的矿主葫芦头（李立宏饰）由于不能生育，希望高价购买这个药方，但马浪涛不同意出售。面对这一情况，葫芦头决定采取冒险的方式，让手下旺才去偷取马浪涛的药方并复印，可惜旺才手法不够纯熟，结果将装有药方的手包不小心落入了环卫工人杨有宝的垃圾车里。 杨有宝是一个天性憨厚、直率的人，他和妻子唐蒜花心存善意，非常希望能够将手包归还给失主，在寻找失主的过程中，他们遇到了各种滑稽的情节和笑料百出的情景，而药方的价值更是引发了一场疯狂的追捧。。MOTHER TONGUE (母语) is a portrait of a Chinese American family in which the consequences of a mother’s decision to leave her young daughter in the care of a white American “homestay” family are slowly unearthed over the course of a family dinner.
