剧情简介
20世纪40年代，海内外都笼罩在战争的阴影之中，就被奴役和占领的华夏大地更是一片疮痍。善良而美丽的普通上海女工金妹，在回家的路上遭受日寇欺凌。危难时刻她得到爱国青年孟南和李新群的救助。但这一事件给她带来巨大的阴影，金妹被厂方无情解雇，丈夫又遭到流氓毒打失明。苦难的生活逼迫她走向社会的最黑暗角落。另一方面，孟、李二人的朋友梁若英此前与丈夫章玉良离婚，另嫁他人过起养尊处优的太太生活。现在的丈夫投敌叛国，与孟、李他们截然对立，若英也面临重要的选择。 本片根据田汉的同名话剧改编。。A man must save his daughter from eternal damnation.。The physician's death orphans his two adolescent daughters.
