剧情简介

一列火车奔驰在西北广袤的原野上。车厢里，坐着6岁的维族男童阿不都和他的表哥易卜拉欣。易卜拉欣与一个瘦高个新疆青年和一个矮个汉族青年赌扑克牌。易卜拉欣赌输了，他趁火车靠站，转身逃走。瘦高个和矮个紧追不舍。火车启动了，阿不都在车上喊叫着易卜拉欣的名字。清晨，火车进了广州车站，阿不都随人流走出站口，他四处搜寻表哥的身影，却发现了瘦高个和矮个。俩人一阵耳语，把阿不都带走。矮个给阿不都洗澡，照料他吃饭，要阿不都听他们的话。阿不都随二人来到百货公司，矮个偷了一个妇女的钱包，用脚踩住，示意阿不都去捡，阿不都捡起钱包，交给了那个阿姨。为此，阿不都遭到一顿毒打。在玉器街，俩人把偷的玉雕放在阿不都背的书包里。回到住处，二人又把玉雕藏到靴子里。阿不都发现后，趁二人熟睡，背起书包和靴子悄悄逃走。店铺已经关门，他在立交桥下抱着书包坐到天明，把玉雕交还玉器店。瘦高个和矮个找回阿...。抗日战争中期，山西汾阳。共产党员蒋三回故乡唐兴庄，发动群众，组织贫农团，传播党的抗战主张。蒋三的哥哥蒋二则当了汉奸，投靠了日寇吉田，蒋母对此十分痛恨。一天，蒋三在村里组织堡垒户开会，蒋二带人来抓捕，不料扑了空，蒋二逼母亲说出蒋三的去向，遭母痛斥，他又抓了蒋三的妻子刘玉梅，审讯吊打，刘玉梅守口如瓶。蒋二使出引蛇出洞诡计，释放了母亲和刘玉梅。据点里内线送出情报，蒋三识破了蒋二的阴谋，他引诱蒋二带人包围唐兴庄，自己则率游击队攻打兵力空虚的敌据点，等蒋二知道中了调虎离山之计回头救援时，早己落入蒋三布下的口袋……。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
