Over a hundred years later, this single documentary for BBC Two uses the first hand testimony of the people involved at the time to explore this unique event and how it provoked a hug...。中年建筑师遇上人生瓶颈，在家被老婆嫌弃，公司小开兔死狗烹。失业的他在曼谷街头蓦然回首，瞥见大象Pop Aye，忆起欢快的童年时光，毅然买下大象，却发现都市生活容不下他俩，打算和老象一路向北返乡。这趟人与象的公路之旅，途中状况不断，所幸万能的象鼻领着他俩，与沿路风景相伴。。富家子向海洋从小父母双亡，跟奶奶相依为命，感情深厚。由于缺乏安全感，对于时间规律有种几近病态的偏执，常认为：“人一定要学会控制时间”却没发现到，自己开始让时间控制自己。某天, 向海洋接获奶奶突然病逝的噩耗，生活重心顿失。让海洋的生活规律崩溃。 在收拾奶奶遗物时，海洋发现小岛地契，还有奶奶和一个陌生男子的亲密合照。依稀记得奶奶曾提过她年轻时在小岛的初恋故事, 向海洋毅然决定往小岛进发，带着好友Sky解开奶奶过去之谜。。
