A British band are ordered by their unhappy record c...。二十世纪末，北京印刷厂工人翦卫国，赢得厂花江明娟的好感。婚后江明娟发现翦卫国“骗”了自己，毅然生下孩子后离他而去。四姐因为喜爱翦峰，逐渐对翦卫国有了感情。翦卫国工厂倒闭去开出租，四姐拿出珍藏多年的绝版猴票，让翦卫国变卖后买房，带着翦峰一起生活。价值连城的猴票使翦卫国不敢随意出手，但绝版猴票现世的消息，却引来不少人的垂涎——都要打猴票的主意。小小一枚猴票，令翦卫国和四姐的生活皱起波澜，各色人物，在金钱诱惑前，显现出世间百态。四姐和翦卫国也在欲望面前，经受着考验。最后，翦卫国毅然将“猴票”捐出，了断所有人的念想，而他则开着自己的出租车，带着四姐和翦峰，去登记结婚！。
