华夏各地，处处有八卦村，尤其是以南方居多。某地的千年八卦古村地处深山，却遭到了开发商的逼迁。八卦村苏家后人苏浩荣（可奇饰）为了保护古村与开发商开始了暗斗。一系列神秘的事件开始在八卦村里发生，让村里人陷入传说中“八卦村即将沉湖”的危机。而与此同时，来自海外的华裔美女蔡果（陈丽玲饰）背负着神秘使命跟随导游萧兵（张驰饰）来到了古村，三个年轻人的聚首，揭开了一段涉及三姓数代人的恩怨。在这一切的背后，究竟隐藏着什么样的秘密？为什么华夏各地会存在着八卦古村？为什么宋明两代开始就在南中国大力营建八卦村？是什么力量数百年来守护着南中国的龙脉？。Dongnan, a 58-year-old long-time employee at a restaurant, is known for his "Chao Geng" (slacking off) tactics.
