剧情简介
卡拉（朱丽叶特·刘易斯 Juliette Lewis 饰）在刚刚出生的时候就被诊断为轻微智障，长久以来，她的母亲伊莎贝丝（黛安·基顿 Diane Keaton 饰）都因此生活在自责和愧疚之中，总是想方设法的弥补女儿的缺失，处处提供无微不至的保护和照顾。一晃眼二十四年过去了，卡拉成长为了一名亭亭玉立的少女，经过长年的学习和反复练习，卡拉已经完全掌握了正常人的各种生活技能，几乎与常人无异，生活在母亲的保护伞下的她十分希望能够离开伊莎贝丝，尝试独立的生活，虽然这在伊莎贝丝的眼中仿佛天方夜谭一般的荒唐。 更让伊莎贝丝无法接受的是，卡拉居然爱上了一个和她有着相似经历的男孩。。Deep in the Northern California woods, in the heart of the notorious Emerald Triangle, lies a remote cabin.
