故事的女主人公荷洁的丈夫意外死于交通事故，得到赔偿却失去一切亲人的她因为一块价值不菲的琥珀陷入了对生命价值的困惑。。本剧改编自同名漫画，讲述了住在东京的社会人奏振一郎（池田匡志饰），因学生时代的苦涩回忆而封闭心扉，隐藏了自己喜欢男生的内心，并下定决心“不再恋爱”。然而某日，他与高中时期的挚友、曾经怀有“特别情感”的真城洸辅（堀夏喜饰）重逢。六年后的再会成为契机，两人开始面对过去，重新审视自我，踏上了新的旅程。虽然时而互相伤害，但依然笨拙地珍惜彼此，开启了一段温暖人心的恋爱故事。。Thuppakki is basically about Jagdish (Vijay), an army captain, who returns to Mumbai for a 40 days’ vacation.
