Roberto Rossellini st...。阿香是发叔的女儿，同阿昌是青梅竹马的恋人，可是发叔嫌弃阿昌家境贫寒，死活不同意两人结婚，一起之下阿香到了广州打工。阿昌通过勤劳致富，和发叔一起去广州找未婚妻阿香。但不走运的两人，不仅没有找到宾馆，还被人盗走了身份证。好心的出租车司机阿青和未婚夫阿昆收留了两人，给他们提供住处，还帮助他们寻找阿香，可是始终没有阿香的消息，但是鱼汛期很快就到了，两人不得不乘船回去打鱼。在码头上，阿昌却意外地发现了阿香，幸福的两人拥抱在了一起。。
