Two young people with a young child, living in the seventies, are full of ideas and dreams. They are madly in love with each other, but a disastrous accident during a sailing trip over the ocean, drifts them apart. Does she dare to entrust him a big secret from the pas...。住西部大山的美丽村姑田枚，进城打工。巧遇电视台“美丽村姑”大赛的编导人员，大家一致认为田枚的形象、气质是理想中的村姑，于是田枚顺利通过村姑大赛的初赛进入决赛。但在建筑工地打工的男朋友二岩却对田枚的这种行为有成见。于是，在是否参赛和参赛后的种种猜忌中，两小无猜的田枚和二岩因为意见分岐而分手了。“憨头憨脑”的田枚凭着她大山姑娘的刻苦、顽强和谦虚好学的那股“拙劲儿”，在大赛中各方面的表现都极好地超越了其他村姑，最后勇夺冠军。。
