抗日战争时期，胶东根据地边缘村庄赵家庄等，经常遭日伪军的袭击和“ 扫荡”，损失惨重。为此，区武委会雷主任和赵家庄民兵队长赵虎依靠群众，想出了对策。他们一方面把几个村庄的民兵组成联防，壮大了武装力量；一方面用土造的地雷封锁了附近的日伪据点，从而有力地打击了日军的嚣张气焰。为对付地雷阵，日军中队长中野特地从青岛搬来了工兵，于是攻入赵家庄，大肆烧杀抢掠。赵家庄的民兵总结了教训，不断改进地雷技术，使敌人的工兵无法起雷。麦收季节，日伪军乘联防民兵抢收麦子的机会，又一次偷袭了赵家庄，掳走一部分村民。他们让被俘村民在队伍前踩地雷，再次进攻赵家庄。赵虎领导民兵巧摆地雷阵，用子母雷、连环雷、钉子雷、碎石雷、铁夹子雷、头发丝雷等各种各样的土造地雷打击敌人，到处都成为敌人葬身的坟墓。在八路军主力部队的配合下，经过一场激烈的战斗，终于解救了被俘的群众，全歼进犯之敌。。Now Rita is no longer bound by state school rules and bureaucracy, so she can design her very own school from scratch and finally shape it to her own ideals.
