日本导演高桥伴明执导、奥田瑛二主演的新片《红玉》正式入围即将于2015年8月27日-9月7日在加拿大召开的第39届蒙特利尔国际电影节“世界电影关注单元”。 导演高桥与奥田是同龄人，该片描绘了中年男人面临“衰老”与“性”的现实问题，为了追求更完美的人生而为之努力的故事。奥田饰演身兼大学教师与电影导演双重身份的主人公时田修次。除了奥田以外，在京都造形艺术大学学习的新生代演员们，以及柄本佑、高桥惠子等实力派影星都将联袂出演。。江天是江城商界大佬，隐居国外多年后因女儿江雪柔订婚宴回国。不料被女婿张超误认作小白脸，张超因害怕地位不保，联合手下恐吓殴打江天，并损坏其亡妻遗物。江天奋起反抗却寡不敌众被打昏。江雪柔赶到后取消订婚，张超却执迷不悟，要闹大丑闻。。Thomas Arslan's second feature film and part of his Berlin-trilogy is a slow-paced milieu study of German-Turkish youth in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
