沈玉婵被调往零犯罪率的李王乡任职捕快，却发现此地表面和谐，暗地是被族长制定的潜规则来操纵，百姓自己处理案件，官府无从插手。一场连环杀人案发生后，沈玉婵与捕快周少庭决定打破潜规则束缚，合力找出真凶。。The plot involves a woman who sets out a well-intentioned plan of bringing together her dysfunctional family in the wake of the family’s matriarch, her mother-in-law. She deceives her husband and others in to believe their mother left rules for the family to follow in the lead up to Christmas.
